Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery is excited to announce the creation of its newest department—Sales Engineering. The Sales Engineering team combines different aspects of inside sales and project management roles in order to provide the best possible experience for Spee-Dee’s customers.
After another year of promising growth and as Spee-Dee continues to expand, this new team is a vital addition to the company and will be pivotal in scaling the business as a whole.
By streamlining the process of costing, quoting, information gathering and outside sales support, Spee-Dee’s Sales Engineering team will provide definition before handing each project off to the engineering team. This will better position Spee-Dee for the continued growth that it seeks to achieve, which demands refined processes and dynamic teams that work synchronously with one another to innovate and achieve success.
The team is led by Danny Harmann, Spee-Dee’s Sales Engineering Manager. Harmann has been with the company for over 16 years, where he initially began working during his studies at the University of Wisconsin—Parkside. His strong background in sales engineering and management, as well as knowledge of the company, will lend themselves well to the success of the team. During his time at Spee-Dee, Harmann has held various positions including CNC Machinist, Machine Shop Lead, Project Manager and Sales Application Manager before becoming Sales Engineering Manager. Current employees Terry Fountain, Chris Brand, Fred Peńa and Darin Ides are transitioning into their roles as Sales Engineers, where they will report to Harmann.
“We look forward to seeing the results that come from this vital change in our team structure at Spee-Dee,” said Mark Navin, Vice President of Sales. “Our team of sales engineers and their years of experience will help Spee-Dee provide customers with a superior customer service experience and the best equipment for their application.”
